Back again!

We’re back on Vancouver Island for a couple of nights before starting our cruise.  We made a bit of a mistake about this visit actually, because we only skimmed over the tour itinerary so it didnt register that Butchart Gardens is on it!  Which of course we raved over when we had those few days here prior to joining our tour.  

Anyhow - so here we are back again!  It was ok though - this time we were able to pick and choose our favourite parts of the gardens, and this time we were here before all the crowds, so could take our time to get close up and personal to the best views and blooms.

The evenings have been warm and balmy so thoroughly enjoyed the stroll along the harbour shore.  It earns its title as the Garden City.

Hooray! Our final excursion here was not cancelled by bad weather: a 20min scenic flight on a Float Plane as they call them - or a sea plane as we know it.

Great stuff!  A smooth gentle flight: even the landing.

Tonight our “Farewell to Canada” with the tour group.  And farewell to access to the internet too!  (For a week anyway). Now for a taste of the cruising lifestyle, and some serious relaxation - the kindle is ready to go!
