So on to the tourist trail. First up the Capilano Suspension Bridge. We were up for an early breakfast because certain tour companies have the park to themselves before its opened to the general public. Thank goodness - its Canada Day weekend - the sun’s shining - and school has broken up for the summer vacation! It was going to be packed, and that bridge is wonky and scary enough as it is without crowds thrown into the occasion.
Alan did a “cliff walk” too, but I offered instead to be official photographer!
The city tour that followed was interesting inasmuch as we now realised we had seen most of the attractions for ourselves - we had missed out very little. The guide’s running commentary added to our knowledge immensely. We also had a big drive around Stanley Park, which is larger than Central Park in New York, so we had only seen a fraction of it the day before. Lovely place. Lots to look at with great city views too.
It was a balmy evening - the best weather we’ve had so far by a long way. Perfect for walking around the city.
Well, thats it - I think we’ve well and truly got to know easy going Vancouver.
